On this day, we will open our Main Road Community Hall to the public from 10:00am – 4:30pm at Main Rd Community Hall, 86 Main Road, Lower Plenty. (Opposite IGA & ALDI and Lower Plenty shops)

Visitors will be able to interact with our artists, view their art in progress and also view the art show on display in the main hall.

Saturday, 23 May 2026 – Iconography Workshop

Peter Blackwood, a renowned artist specialising in religious icons, will conduct a beginners’ iconography class in the dining room. This is a pre-paid event. Participants will be using traditional egg tempera techniques of the Eastern Orthodox tradition. Students will learn about the symbolism, style, and techniques involved in icon painting using traditional tempera paints.

Saturday, 23 May 2026 – Chillin’ in Banyule – Toby Aitken

The Banyule City Council has kindly organised a music event for residents and the wider community. We are delighted to host Toby Aitken, who will perform on his keyboard from 1:30pm-3:30pm. The performance will be held outdoors at the front of the hall, weather permitting, or inside on the stage area in the main hall at Main Rd Community Hall.

1-30 November 2026 – Art Show at ‘The Greenery Garden Centre’, Heidelberg

We are excited to announce that our upcoming HAS Art Show will be held from 1-30 November 2026 at The Greenery Garden Centre, located in the Pavilion, 4 Banksia Street, Heidelberg.
